About YNF

My name is Brittany Franklin and I’m the founder and host of You’re Not Finished.® YNF was created to support those that are struggling with mental distress and suicide ideation. My hope is that YNF will become an uplifting community/movement that continues provide practical tools and share external resources for healing and recovery.

The Website & Podcast

There are several mental health and self-care websites and podcasts in the market that inspire and encourage people to better their mental health. However, many of these entities do not integrate the Christian faith, seek to address and remove stigma within Christian organizations, nor do they offer tangible and practical resources directly to marginalized and underserved individuals in need (regardless of religious affiliation, if any).

Mental health professionals, through previous research, have found religion and spirituality to have a positive impact on an individual’s mental health. However, that being said, due to the various topics that have been and will continue to be covered through You’re Not Finished®, Christian theology will not always be integrated with the information and resources provided because the primary source of Christian theology (the Bible) does not contain all of the answers regarding mental health and conversely, mental health sources do not contain all of the answers regarding Christianity. Most importantly, any information and resources provided through online blogs and streamable podcasts will be supported by previous and proven research. Additionally, listeners do not have to subscribe to Christianity in order to benefit from the information and resources provided. Regardless of perceived and actual man-made stereotypes, limitations, and stigma, YNF seeks to encourage all who read the blogs and stories on the website as well as listen to podcasts via various streaming platforms.

Stories

You’re Not Finished® believes that one of the best ways to decrease & eventually end mental health stigma is to provide the opportunity for people to share their stories/testimonies. These stories often provide encouragement for those who read them, & help others realize they are not alone. Share your story through the contact form or send an email to stories@yourenotfinished.com!

Finally…

When you think you’re done and can’t see the end result or the finish line, or anything that should determine that you are finished, it means you’re not. I have had to remind myself of this many times, so when I say “don’t give up” or “you’re not finished” I’m not doing so because I feel like I should or it’s the right thing to say. It is genuinely coming from a place of empathy and experience.

This was made for you.
