About the Founder

I’ve been through a lot in my life, but I managed to keep a smile on my face in the midst of everything I have been through. It’s because of that that I had struggled with suicidal thoughts a number of years, even attempted. Twice. At times I couldn’t help but think there was no hope for me, that no one would ever love me.. that I’d be completely alone in this world because people have and always will walk away from me and hurt me but that was a COMPLETE LIE. All I was doing was lying to myself and allowing people to have a power over me that they should have never had. We’re only human, all of us are going to struggle with these thoughts and feelings, but we can’t overcome them alone. With therapy and faith, I know now that the reason I went through all of the things I did is to get the strength, courage, and vision to help others realize that they have a purpose in life… to pull YOU out of the ditch I was once in. Others may have left you behind or made you feel like there is no hope, but know that it is a reflection of them, not of you. They may have walked away but I want to make sure that I never do or that there is someone who never will.

Because of that, I have created this blog and site for people to share their stories of how they survived suicide and overcome suicidal thoughts to serve as proof that life gets better. Where people can be open and honest without being stigmatized. Where you can show love and encouragement to those who are struggling. Where people who are struggling can get help. So that people can know that they may have started poorly, but they can finish well. Reach out and/or share your story publicly or anonymously at yourenotfinished@gmail.com.

    God Bless.
