When You’ve Had Enough…

That feeling when you’ve had enough is one you shouldn’t ignore.

When the things that used to satisfy no longer mean much, if anything…
When you want more for your vocation, your relationships, & yourself…
When complacency gets uncomfortable & you need a challenge…
When life seems unfulfilling…

Don’t ignore that feeling.

As of late, my sanctuary (place where I work, create, & write) & my shell (this body I’m working with) have become like a worn out shield. These homes have become places that even I don’t want to dwell in anymore.

I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’ve had enough.

As someone who frequently chooses safety & protection, potentially at the risk of living a meaningful life or placing limits upon myself, I realized that I was inadvertently sacrificing my own freedom.

I allowed the cares & fears of life to keep me in a prison of my own making (dramatic I know, but true) – waiting for permission, acceptance, & validation from people that I realized I didn’t actually need.

Thoughts aren’t enough, though. Although change is scary, continuing to live as I have is even scarier.

Staying in one place…
Holding on to old things…
Allowing what I’ve refused to let go of to affect me mentally, physically, spiritually, financially, & emotionally…
I’m done.

I’m letting it go.
I’m forgiving.
I’m dropping the weight.
I’m throwing it away.

Because the moment you’ve had enough of yourself is the beginning of the journey to freedom from all the hang-ups, behavior, & habits that prevent you from being who you’ve been created to be.
